What's happening at the clinic

image1

8th July 2020

We are delighted to tell you that we are reopening for Face to Face Appointments as deemed appropriate on an individual basis.

In line with the Government and our Professional Bodies guidelines these are some of the measures we will have in place to protect you, and us during these challenging times:

  • Everyone will be required to have a remote consultation initially, either by phone or online video call, to be assessed and complete a Covid-19 screening questionnaire to determine if a Face to Face consultation is appropriate or if remote treatment will be sufficient (Included in your first appointment fee)
  • You will be required to give signed consent to any Face to Face contacts with the understanding of the risks regarding Covid-19 at the current time
  • You will be required to bring your own face mask to your appointment, which must be worn at all times
  • When entering and leaving the clinic please use the Hand Sanitiser available or thoroughly wash your hands
  • Please minimise the number of personal belongings that you bring into the clinic. (i.e. phone, keys and purse/wallet and water only)
  • Please arrive to your appointment at the allocated time, no earlier or later. We have allocated the appropriate time to clean all surfaces and equipment between clients. We ask you to wait outside or in your car until we call or text you to come in at your appointment time to avoid any cross over with other clients
  • There will be no receptionist present to limit contacts
  • Initially there will be variable clinic availability
  • There will be no access to toilet facilities as these are based within the Rugby Club and not under our control

We will do our utmost to make sure the clinic is safe for everyone. Here is what you can expect when coming for your appointment:

  • We will be wearing disposable gloves and apron which will be      changed in between clients
  • We will be wearing a face mask and or a visor at all times (but      we will still be smiling behind it!)
  • As always, we will be regularly washing our hands as required
  • The clinic including all surfaces, equipment, chairs, doors,      handles and floors will be disinfected at the start of the day, and in      between each client and at the end of the day

Please remember that if you have symptoms of Covid-19, or have been in contact with anyone who has, to cancel and rearrange your appointment until after you have self-isolated for the advised time.

With these new requirements and procedures, we are now only able to offer 45 minute appointments at a charge of £50. However, contact time between therapist and client will be up to 30 mins with the extra time to allow for cleaning, ensuring there is no client overlap and additional clinic paperwork. We hope you understand this necessary change and despite this, that we are still one of the most cost effective Physiotherapy Clinics in the area.

Online video consultations will continue to be charged at £35

We really are looking forward to welcoming you all back to the clinic as necessary. Please bear with us as we find our way through these unusual and constantly changing times but we are sure it will feel like the "New Normal" for us all soon!

If you need to see us please call or email the clinic and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

1st April 2020

We are still open, we have simply changed the way you can access our help.

We can treat you by using phone or video appointments. We are still able to carry out a thorough assessment and based upon our findings offer a variety of at home treatments and give you plenty of advice. This might include showing you how to use tape to alleviate your symptoms and teaching you mobility and strengthening exercises that you can do in your own home.

Many of the leading insurance companies have now recognised phone or video Physiotherapy and will cover the cost of the appointment for you, but do please check that your policy does before booking.

22nd March 2020

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we have decided to close our Clinic doors for the foreseeable future in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are truly sorry that we cannot continue our work in its current form at present, but it is the right and only thing to do at this time.

However, we are still available to help! We will be starting consultations and online assessments via video link on Zoom (which is very easy to set up) should you need any support or advice. Please contact us and we can arrange a video appointment for you. In extreme circumstances, and only if the Physio deems it necessary, we may be able to see you at the Clinic but this would only be within the Government guidelines in place at the time.

We would like to thank you all for your continuing support and wish everyone well in these uncertain and rapidly changing times. We look forward to working together in the future when the risk has passed.

Keep well and Best Wishes,

Julie, Claire, James, Olga, Nettie and Sam
